    The first issue in a series of 4 one-shots that take place before Superman Returns, Krypton to Earth explains how the legend of Superman began. The reader gets to witness Krypton's final moments and follow baby Kal-El on his journey to Earth. Great for anyone planning to see the much anticipated film!

    DCU: Brave New World
    [Written and illustrated by various; cover art by Ariel Olivetti. Goes on sale June 28, 80 pages, $1.00.]
    DC Comics set a record when they released the giant-sized Countdown to Infinite Crisis for $1 in 2005. Now, DC strikes again with this 80 page one-shot, which sets the stage for 6 series premiering in July and August: Brave New World, Martian Manhunter, OMAC, Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters, The Creeper, The All-New Atom, and The Trials of Shazam!.     Wonder Woman #1

    Taking place a year after the shocking events of Infinite Crisis and the death of Maxwell Lord, this series begins with the story arc "Who is Wonder Woman"? People have been left wondering if she's the champion of the opressed, or a criminal who's not to be trusted. This series will give the classic character the fresh new update she needs, and is sure to please longtime fans and newcomers alike. Thanks to Mike for this contribution.







    Civil War: Front Line #1
    [Written by Paul Jenkins; art by John Watson, Ramon Bachs, and Steve Lieber. Goes on sale June 7, 32 pages, $2.99.]
    The first story in this issue, "Embedded," deals with the public outcry for Super Hero Registration in light of the recent Stamford Disaster. The second story, "Accused," focuses on the fate of the only survivor of the team responsible for the Stamford Disaster. How could things get any worse when someone who's been through such a tragedy (and just narrowly survived) is arrested for murdering an entire town? Well, let's just say they could get a little worse when Norman Osborn starts conspiring against his enemies. Lastly, "Civil War Correspondence" contains stories inspired by war correspondence accounts from history. Plus, there are no ads in this issue, so make sure you check it out!
